Vote from Within.
Not from Noise.
KeralaCompass is a neutral, non-partisan civic education platform built for Kerala's young voters - helping you understand where you stand, who stands with you, and why your vote matters.
Our Mission
To empower every eligible voter in Kerala with clear, unbiased information - so that democratic participation is driven by values and policy, not by caste, religion, or manufactured outrage.
What is KeralaCompass?
Political Compass Quiz
A multi-dimensional quiz across economic, social, and democratic dimensions. Answer honestly - your result shows where you sit on Kerala's political map and which front aligns most closely with your values.
Civic Education
Plain-language explainers on how Kerala's three political fronts (LDF, UDF, NDA) are structured, what they stood for in 2021, and how India's democratic system actually works.
The Voter Pledge
A voluntary personal commitment to vote informed. Sign the pledge, share it with your community, and be part of a growing movement of conscious democratic participation.
District Leaderboard
See which districts in Kerala are leading in civic engagement. All data is anonymous - we never publish individual names or identifying information.
Who We Built This For
Kerala's first time voters
Millions of young Keralites will cast a ballot for the first time - or for the first few times - over the next decade. They inherit a democracy shaped by decades of political tradition but face a media environment saturated with noise, misinformation, and tribal loyalty.
KeralaCompass is built for them. To cut through the noise. To offer clarity, not conclusions. To inspire participation grounded in genuine understanding.
Our Principles
No endorsements, ever
We do not endorse any party or candidate. Quiz scores are statistical comparisons of documented policy positions - not recommendations. Our full methodology and axis weights are published. We have no political affiliation and accept no political funding.
Privacy by design
We do not store your phone number or personal details. Quiz answers are processed in-session and discarded. The only data we retain is your anonymous pledge count and district - and only with your explicit consent.
Copyleft & open
All content on KeralaCompass - quiz logic, educational articles, design, and code - is released under copyleft. No rights reserved. Copy, adapt, and build upon it freely, as long as derivative works remain equally open.
Accessible to every voter
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA. KeralaCompass works on low-end Android devices, slow connections, and with assistive technologies. It is available in both English and Malayalam. No voter should be left out.
How We Analyse
We assess parties and figures against their documented policy records and published programmes - not their rhetoric or self-description. Our five axes measure where each front's actual governing choices land on questions of economic ownership, social equality, international alignment, democratic distribution of power, and scientific governance. The axis weights reflect the degree to which each dimension differentiates Kerala's three fronts in practice; the full weighting methodology is published in the scoring documentation. We do not claim political neutrality - we claim factual accuracy and methodological transparency.
